Rescues
Special Instructions for Rescues

The LifeSaver Fund will always do all we can to help those animals in the care of reputable rescues.  Just like you, we are happy to see homeless animals get a second chance.

We understand that rescue organizations are always as strapped for funding and we will help all we can.  With so many rescue organizations in existence, the LifeSaver Fund obviously cannot help them all.

In order to qualify for financial aid from the LifeSaver Fund a rescue organization must meet all the same qualifications as individual caretakers who apply for their family companion.  The only exception is proof of income.  We do not ask for proof of income from rescue organizations.

The same policies apply to rescue that apply to individual caretakers.  As a rescue you might want to consider which of your special need animals you would like to help.  We can only accept one application per year from each rescue so you might want to hold out for an extreme emergency or one that needs an excessive amount of funding.

The single most important thing for you to do, if your application is approved, is to post frequently to our forum.  Not only is it a requirement, we have found it to be a very effective tool.

Checklist for Rescues..

In addition to your application and estimate, we will need the following sent by fax to 770 455-7522:

  • a copy of your adoption application

  • a copy of your adoption contract

  • references from your veterinarian

  • references from at least two people who have adopted from your rescue -

Please read all of the information on our site prior to submitting your application.  Just like you wouldn't want anyone to sign your contract without reading it - LifeSaver Fund wants to make certain you understand how our program works before submitting your application.
