Reality Check

Emergency Fund

Immediate funding is reserved for those cases in which the animal is facing death or euthanasia, if immediate care is not provided.  Often times we don't have funds available, even in those situations.

If your pet is not facing immediate death or euthanasia, our only option is to put a page up on our site and allow you to use our Community Forum as part of your fund raising efforts.

For those cases in which immediate care is not necessary, any pledge amount from LifeSaver Fund will be determined after the pet has been on our site and the applicant has shown they are doing their part to help in fund raising.

Depending on the number of pet's on our site, there may be a waiting period before we can put a page up for your pet and begin fund raising.

As much as we would like to help every animal who needs us, the reality is that we simply do not have the funds.

Hip dysplasia, cruciate ligament repair and cancer treatments

It should be further noted that we get a large number of requests for help with orthopedic surgeries and cancer treatment.  While we fully realize how painful and serious these can be, we have no funding available for these surgeries or treatments.  All we can do is put your pet on our site and give you an opportunity to fund raise for up to 30 days.  If treatment is completed before the 30 days has ended your case will be closed at that time.  Please continue and complete the application for the General Emergency Fund when you reach that point.

We do not want to give any false hope and lead you to believe there will be enough in donations to your pet to cover these very expensive surgeries and treatments.  Rarely, if ever, does enough funding become available.  LifeSaver Fund highly recommends that you also contact other sources for help and do a lot of fund raising on your own.

With your help and cooperation we will always do whatever we can to help.

If you feel you qualify and understand the reality of what we can and cannot do...
